Tips:
Important information for any candle user.
-
Always trim your wick before lighting. You will not need to worry about this for the first lighting, as your candle will come pre-trimmed. For all other lightings, use a wick trimmer, scissors, nail clippers, or my personal favorite -- simply break off the charred part of your wick with your fingertips! This will ensure a clean burn with minimal smoke/soot each time.
-
Do not burn your candle for less than two hours, or more than four hours. A candle burned for less than two hours will likely tunnel, leaving wax on the sides of the container. A candle burned for longer than four hours can potentially become a hazard, as the container can get too hot.
-
Do not leave a burning candle or wax warmer unattended. While candles are generally considered safe for use in homes, they should still be watched over at all times. Do not burn a candle overnight, or while away from home.
Tricks:
Secrets for
the candle aficionado.

Want to get the most life out of your candle? Each candle is designed to put itself out with around a half inch of wax left at the bottom. This is to prevent your container from getting too hot or catching on fire. If you want to use that little bit of wax left over, place your candle on a candle/wax warmer and the remaining wax will melt, releasing the fragrance. DO NOT place your candle on the stove.
-
Having trouble changing the wax in your wax warmer? Turn the warmer on until the wax is fully melted. Dip a paper towel into the melted wax to soak it up, then throw away. Be careful not to touch the warmer with your bare hands as it will be very hot.

Why can't I smell my candle? There are a few reasons why you might not be getting a strong scent throw: It may be that you purchased a "softer" scent, such as Toe Beans or Big Stretch. In this case, try ordering one of our stronger scents -- reach out to us if you need help choosing! It could also be that the room you are using your candle in is too large. We recommend burning our 4 oz candles in a small bedroom or bathroom, and our 6 oz candles in a medium-sized room or living space. Finally, try leaving the room for a bit and then coming back -- sometimes we become "nose-blind" to the scents around us!
-
How long will my candle last? Our 4 oz candles will burn for up to 20 hours; Our 6 oz candles will burn for up to 35 hours; And our 8 oz candles will burn for up to 50 hours. *Test burns were conducted in 3-4 hour increments.
-
Why are there cracks in my candle? Beeswax is notorious for cracking, so this is a natural occurrence. It will not affect the burn of your candle, and is simply cosmetic.
